Rising rap superstar KOAD continues to forge his own path, with the release of his latest single, enuff – an intense and infectious genre-bending anthem featuring fellow West Coast Hip-Hop artists ICECOLDBISHOP, JAHMED & Asha Imuno.

Alongside the new single, KOAD also shares the tracks accompanying music video, directed by Ijaaz Noohu. Described in a press release as being “reminiscent of a rap cypher”, each artist featured jumps in to shot to deliver their verse with “clean flow and expertise”, whilst the magic of the KOGO home transforms the universe around them.

The Salon is doing the heavy lifting when it comes to elevating South Asian talent in the entertainment industry and to do that, they have selected the participants for the inaugural Salon Mentorship Program. Led by Disney’s Reena Singh, Hillman Grad’s Rishi Rajani, Writ Large manager Bash Naran, actor/comedian Nik Dodani (Atypical), and actor/producer Vinny Chhibber (The Red Line), the program has revealed its 23 mentors and mentees.

For the “on some bullshit” visual, KOAD joined forces with longtime collaborator and director Ijaaz Noohu. The video shows the rapper coming face to face with his inner child, materialized in the form of an actual child played by Akash Narain. The two stand off against each other in KOAD’s treehouse, which he designed and built himself. Located in his parents’ backyard, the treehouse is his “creative haven.” This song and visual is the first proper introduction of the structure into his work.

From the inside of a garage, the talented 18-year-old rapper and producer delivered a show-stopping performance of his catchy 2021 debut single ‘pots-n-pans’ with a, you guessed it, pot in his hand. Stepping out with an equally energetic performance of his second single ‘Jaunty’, directed by Ijaaz Noohu.

Following their 2020 Asia Rising Forever benefit livestream, 88 Rising continues to spotlight Asian voices and celebrate the community with the aim of raising funds and awareness. The lineup includes Atarashii Gakko!, Audrey Mika, Audrey Nuna, Bizzy, Guapdad 4000, eaJ (of Day6), KOAD, Luna Li, mxmtoon, NIKI, Seori, Tiger JK and yoonmirae, with guest appearances from RZA, Dumbfoundead and Ocean Vuong, and a special introduction by CL. KOAD’s live performance directed by Ijaaz Noohu.
